The men's 1st XI finally got their season off to a winning start with a 2-0 away win at Canterbury. GWHC started the game strongly, with an attacking press resulting in a turnover, which was finished nicely by Zak Rowland at the back post for his debut goal for the 1's. The second half was not as dominant, with Canterbury pressing and GWHC goalkeeper Keaton Gates producing some fantastic, and MOTM winning saves. Kyran Pender dispatched a PC with 20 minutes to go, and with the GWHC defence holding strong, they took all 3 points and a lovely clean sheet into next weekend.
